  1. What is an Educate Together school?
    Educate Together Schools are set up by individuals within the local community with the assistance of the Educate Together organisation. They have Child Centred approach to education, are democratically run by the local community and the teachers, are co-educational and are multi-denominational.
  2. What is Educate Together?
    Educate Together is the representative organisation of the Educate Together schools and associations throughout the Republic of Ireland. It will act as the patron for CETNS. Please click on the link below for further information.

  3. How do I enrol my child in CETNS?
    Our Pre-Enrolment lists for 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 are now open. Follow this link to pre-enrol.

  4. Are there any enrolment or other fees?
    The Educate Together Charter precludes charging fees for enrolment or at any other time.
  5. How is the school funded?
    The School is funded like any other National School in the Republic of Ireland, through a mixture of State funding, public donations and fund raising by the local community.
  6. What is the Curriculum\Syllabus of the school?
    Under Department of Education regulations the curriculum is the same as that used by all National schools in the Republic of Ireland.
  7. How is the school run?
    The School is run by the Principal and Teachers in conjunction with the Board of Management. The board of Management includes parents and members of the local community.
  8. When will you get a permanent school building?
    We are currently renting a purpose built facility within Heron’s Wood housing estate in Carrigaline.  Our current home is suitable for our immediate needs over the next two to three years.  We are actively progressing our need for a permanent school building through our patron, the council and Department of Education and Science.
  9. What classes are catered for?
    The school covers all the classes found in a full sized national school, Junior Infants right through to sixth class.
  10. How is an Educate Together School different?
    Multi-denominational: Educate Together schools from the outset respect all ethical and religious traditions.
    Co-Educational:
    As all Educate Together schools are set up by groups of parents, parents have unparalleled access and involvement in the running and development of the school.
    Child Centred:
    While covering the curriculum set out by the Department of Education for all National Schools, the educational programme of an Educate Together school is developed creatively through genuine dialogue between teachers and parents for the common good of the children.
    Democratically Run:
    As all Educate Together schools are set up by groups of parents, parents have unparalleled access and involvement in the running and development of the school.
